We create clear, engaging learning materials for different sectors. We start with what people know and build from there, helping them gain knowledge, skills and language. Our audience tells us what they need to know, how they want to read it, and how it should look. Some call this co-design or participatory design. We just call it working together.

with client and experts
We work with our client to edit the draft, making sure the content is still accurate and suitable. We check the language to keep it clear and easy to understand. This often takes a few rounds of edits.
Simplifying complex ideas can affect accuracy. So, we test the draft with a subject matter expert, like a lawyer, regulator or scientist. We continue to negotiate with the expert until we agree on wording.
with audience
Once we know the information is correct, we review it with the audience to make sure it works for them. They check whether:
Audience feedback helps us shape the tone, structure, and examples to suit their needs. This step makes sure the resource captures their voice and fits how they want to use it.
design and visuals
We choose the right designer and illustrator to suit the audience.

illustrations
The illustrator provides samples for review. With the designer, we confirm the illustration style. We then prepare a detailed brief that lists every required illustration. The brief includes clear descriptions and sample images to guide the illustrator.
designs with client
We test the design and illustrations with the client. They check that the style suits their brand, fits the audience and works for publishing.

with experts
Many changes get made in all the reviews. So, it is necessary to take the latest version back to the subject matter expert to check for accuracy. We continue to negotiate with them to reach a balance of accuracy, plain English and tone.

A resource is never truly finished.
No matter how many edits or reviews, we still find mistakes. Regular updates keep content accurate, relevant, and accessible as language, laws, and audience needs change.
We provide the client with a continuous improvement register to help track future changes.
